Ovation iDea Celebrity Acoustic-Electric Guitar with Built-In MP3 Recorder Cherry Burst

The Ovation iDea CC44SI Celebrity acoustic-electric guitar leads the way in innovation by with its integrated MP3 recorder! Now you can record new songs whenever and wherever. The Ovation iDea is a great instrument for composers and singer-songwriters, so they can work out new compositions on-the-fly. Thanks to its small screen and joystick, users can navigate through each song quickly and easily. The built-in mic can pick up vocals as well as licks, which are then stored in the MP3 player's non-expandable 128MB of storage, for approximately 100 minutes of recording time. The Ovation iDea guitar is the first and only guitar of its kind. A digital recorder is part of the onboard Ovation preamp. A simple and direct recording control makes it easy to record entire songs or fragments, even vocals and commentary. The Ovation iDea is also a learning tool with audio lessons pre-installed in the memory. Downloading files from a computer or the internet is easy via USB. Files in the iDea can be moved, renamed, deleted and rearranged right on the computer desktop. Mixes from recording software, rhythm tracks, even songs the player wants to learn can be downloaded and played either through the guitar output or headphones. Several jam tracks are also pre-installed in the Ovation iDea guitar, and others are available online.Because of its mid-depth Ovation cutaway design, the body depth provides comfort and strength in sound. Thanks to the impressive top wood and Ovation's materials and cutting-edge design technology, the sound on the Ovation iDea guitar is loud and pleasing to the ears. The solid spruce top offers balanced tone right out of the box. The bowl is made of Lyrachord, a mix of composite materials. Its manufacturing process is based on the same original recipe developed by company founder Charles Kaman back in the '60s. The bowl vibrates well and produces a louder, more dynamic sound with a perfect response. Using incredibly sophisticated laser-based aerospace measurement machines, Ovation engineers plotted the movement of the guitar tops using different bracing patterns. Through some detailed analysis, their modified X-bracing produces a rich, powerful sound that cuts through but is responsive at the same time. The cutaway shape on the upper bout, 25-1/4" scale, and 1-11/16" nut width adds comfort when playing intricate fret movements. The nato neck is strong and durable, and adds a considerable amount of clarity to the overall tone.
