Ibanez JS2400
Ibanez JS2400 Joe Satriani Signature Electric Guitar White
Joe says the inspiration for the Ibanez JS2400 Joe Satriani Signature electric guitar came from touring the world and seeing so many players using 24-fret guitars; with every manufacturer making one; and with so many records and demos have guitarists playing high up on their 24 fret guitars.A self-proclaimed "vintage guy" Joe Satriani thought it would be "interesting to try to do some crazy things—"play fast things going up and down" on the upper frets of a 24-fret guitar while not having to worry about knocking his knuckles on wood. It's now much easier to hit an E, F# or G with this Ibanez Joe Satriani guitar. The JS2400's Prestige neck has much better clearance, more comfortable, more ergonomic while keeping the basic aesthetic of the JS guitar. The Ibanez Joe Satriani guitar embodies exquisite craftsmanship, being a super-fast and lean tone machine with DiMarzio humbuckers. A Pro Mark single-coil at the guitar's neck produces a throaty Hendrix-like tone while retaining the bit of humbucker. The screamin'-fast JS Prestige maple neck features tall, narrow 6105 frets and tighter radius on a rosewood fretboard. The Ibanez Joe Satriani guitar's precision-sculpted basswood body is light on the shoulder and has great high-fret access while the double-locking Edge tremolo gives you the confidence to bar-up those horse-whinny harmonics and stay in the happy realm of rock solid tuning.DiMarzio Pro Track pickup For most modern guitarists, the neck pickup is very important. Joe didn't want to lose that humbucker tone quality and still get as close to the neck as possible. The DiMarzio Pro Track is specially voiced to give Joe a throaty Hendrix tone with enough tone to take the place of a humbucker—it's very close to a PAF Joe that he uses in the JS1200 Signature guitar.
The Pro Mark balances well with the DiMarzio Mo' Joe humbucker in the bridge position.DiMarzio Mo' Joe humbucker Joe Satriani has used FRED as his main bridge pickup for years. In 2005, Joe asked DiMarzio for a hotter and bigger version to replace the FRED in his Ibanez guitars. The new model called the Mo' Joe is all about tone and definition. Its name says it all. It has more power than FRED but it doesn't sacrifice clarity or dynamics. Additionally, all the harmonics that made FRED so good are all there ready to jump out at the touch of a guitar pick. Having more output makes the Mo' Joe a perfect match for the Pro Mark in the neck position. The combination delivers great versatility and control from rhythms to solos.
For an expanded tonal palette the Ibanez JS2400 electric guitar includes a push-pull hi-pass filter on the volume control to emphasize screaming high frequencies while the tone control offer coil-spltting for the Mo' Joe humbucker.
