The folks at Ovation are debuting a new series—The Standard Balladeer—with great looks, appointments, and electronics that should help further cement this brand’s reputation for creating world-class acoustic-electrics. The Standard Balladeer 1771 AX sports a mid-depth body, traditional soundhole, and an AA solid spruce top. It also features scalloped X-bracing, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, chrome tuning machines, and a pearl oak leaf rosette. The OCP-1K pickup delivers classic Ovation tone for a beautiful plugged-in experience. The Standard Balladeer 2771is a deep-contour model with an AA solid spruce top, scalloped LX bracing, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, chrome tuning machines, and an inlaid pearl oak leaf rosette. An integrated OCP-1K pickup lets you amplify all the big acoustic tone. The Standard Balladeer 1861 AX has a super shallow cutaway body and an AA solid spruce top. The onboard Ovation OCP-1K pickup delivers classic Ovation tone for a great plugged-in experience.
