Originally introduced as a hollowbody in 1958, the EDS-1275 assumed its more familiar SG-style body shape in 1962. One of Gibson's more esoteric models, the 1275 got its moment in the sun when Jimmy Page began using it for live performances of 'Stairway to Heaven'.
