Just like the Resonator, the Lap Steel is an authentic American string instrument. The new Gretsch Jet Mainliner brings back this distinctive style. Originally intended for Country music, the lap steel has also found its niche in Blues and Rock'n'Roll. Built of mahogany, the Mainliner has an attractive white fretboard for a clear visual reference, which is crucial with a lap steel. This is offset by the body's Art Deco influenced design and Tobacco Brown finish. One DynaSonic single coil pickup provides clear crisp sound, controlled by the conveniently placed volume and tone controls.
